This site is intended as a parody of a certain fishing forum website and a satire of fishing forum websites in general. A forum is a way to have a website but without having to make any real content so besides helping pedophiles better locate prey and giving basement-dwelling nerds a place to feel cool, they are just a shitty place on the Internets where retards like to argue, troll, whine, bitch and moan about unimportant and uninteresting topics. Fishchan is just like a regular forum but with a noted disregard for common decency and now heralds the end of humanity as we know it.
Much of this site may contain humor, wit, sarcasm, cynicism, ribaldry, player hating, parody and satire. Unfortunately when dealing with people on the internet, celebrity and self-promotion brings many pitfalls and criticisms, whether deserved or not. Internet culture dictates, and rightly so, that pretty much everything must be flamed/parodied. The point of this site is to take the piss out of self-proclaimed internet celebrities and bring them down to our level, which is admittedly about as low as you can get. This is a roast where the weak are killed and eaten. With the belief that the roastees with good character are able to show it by taking the jokes in good humor. Their friends, fan-boys, the mods, the admin, the website itself and the users of the website in general all receive the same treatment.

This forum tries to be more like somebody bullshitting in a bar or chatting on the radio rather than the public hearing that most sites are. With this many uncensored fishermen in one place, the level of bullshit being thrown around is unprecedented. To keep things informal this site's software automatically deletes old posts. If somebody says something you don't like, just ignore the topic, replying to it keeps it alive. So posts here have a little longer lifespan than a chat but less than your average forum.
